Young People of the Year or ´YOPEY´ (pronounced yop-ee) corrects the unfairly negative image of young people today. Our mission is to reveal young unsung heroes, recognise them publicly, and to reward the very best. Our award-winners can then become positive role models (PRMs) and inspire younger generations to make better choices as they grow up. Emma was awarded £1000 with £500 to be given to a charity of her choice. The £500 contributed towards the cost of training for two volunteer staff, who will then be offering free counselling on the COAP website later on this year.
Judges comment "An amazing talent to take a negative situation and channel it to the benefit of others"
