Children of Addicted Parents and People

hi, i have been with my boyfriend 4 months and the first month we were together was great but then he started back on drugs and although things havent been bad i can tell he emotinally distant, he is getting help but it could take months before he starts getting the help he needs and he has told me that once he is on the medication that he can have really bad temper flare ups to the point where he can smash a house up or he can sleep for days, is there anyone else out there who is living with a recovering drug addict and is in the same situation as me, i also have 2 young children and im scared of the effects this will have on them. if there is anyone out there who has the same kind of life please reply i need to know what its like and what to expect because i love him very much and do not want him to leave me because he has said he will if he starts causing us all to much pain. i really need someone who understands what im going through.
